Job Summary

The Assembly Operator is responsible for expertly assembling components and products with precision, ensuring strict adherence to assembly instructions, operating procedures, blueprints, and quality specifications. This role involves detailed manual dexterity, attention to detail, and maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship to produce finished goods. Operators will work with teams on their respective product line(s) and report to their Production Manager. This is an hourly full-time contract-to-potential-hire position, requiring on-site work at our Bangalore manufacturing location.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting assembly instructions, operating procedures, blueprints, and diagrams.

  • Assembling components accurately and efficiently using various tools and equipment.

  • Performing quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet specifications.

  • Identifying and reporting defects or deviations from quality standards.

  • Maintaining a clean and organized workstation (5s ideology).

  • Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

  • Collaborating with team members to optimize assembly processes.

  • Recording production data and completing necessary documentation.

  • Operating and maintaining assembly machinery and tools.

Requirements

  • High School GED or equivalent (Class 10, 12 etc.).

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, or relevant vocational training is a plus.

  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions/diagrams.

  • Basic problem-solving skills for assembly challenges.

  • Must be willing to work in shifts (General/1st/2nd/3rd).

  • Knowledge of basic safety procedures in an assembly environment.

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.

  • Must be able to lift and handle components/assembled products weighing up to 23 kgs.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

  • Ability to travel and work onsite.

  • Ability to stand while performing assembly operations for extended durations.
