Job Summary
The Production Supervisor oversees daily production operations on the shop floor, reporting directly to the Production Manager. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient and timely production across 2-3 product lines, managing approximately 20 operators, while consistently meeting quality standards. This is a salaried full time contract-to-potential-hire position, requiring on-site work at our Bangalore manufacturing location.
Roles & Responsibilities
Supervising production staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training.
Ensuring adherence to production schedules and deadlines.
Monitoring production processes and identifying areas for improvement.
Troubleshooting production issues and resolving problems.
Ensuring compliance with quality control procedures and standards.
Maintaining a safe and organized work environment (5s ideology).
Monitoring and reporting on production metrics, such as output, efficiency, and downtime.
Communicating effectively with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance, stores and quality control.
Implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures.
Conducting performance reviews and providing feedback to production staff.
Requirements
Bachelors/Diploma degree in engineering or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with supervisory experience.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Must be willing to work in shifts (General/1st/2nd/3rd).
Knowledge of production processes and equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot production issues and solve problems.
Understanding of quality control principles and procedures.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to travel and work onsite.
Able to effectively communicate with operators.
Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 23 kgs.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
