Job Summary

The Production Supervisor oversees daily production operations on the shop floor, reporting directly to the Production Manager. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient and timely production across 2-3 product lines, managing approximately 20 operators, while consistently meeting quality standards. This is a salaried full time contract-to-potential-hire position, requiring on-site work at our Bangalore manufacturing location.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supervising production staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training.

  • Ensuring adherence to production schedules and deadlines.

  • Monitoring production processes and identifying areas for improvement.

  • Troubleshooting production issues and resolving problems.

  • Ensuring compliance with quality control procedures and standards.

  • Maintaining a safe and organized work environment (5s ideology).

  • Monitoring and reporting on production metrics, such as output, efficiency, and downtime.

  • Communicating effectively with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance, stores and quality control.

  • Implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures.

  • Conducting performance reviews and providing feedback to production staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelors/Diploma degree in engineering or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with supervisory experience.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be willing to work in shifts (General/1st/2nd/3rd).

  • Knowledge of production processes and equipment.

  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues and solve problems.

  • Understanding of quality control principles and procedures.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to travel and work onsite.

  • Able to effectively communicate with operators.

  • Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 23 kgs.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
